Brief: Native and qualified French Tutors in Singapore !

About

French Toast is a new french tuition service provider in Singapore. Our goal is to teach this romantic language that french is, and share about our culture, country & food. For this reason, we are all native french speakers and we know what we talk about because France is our home country. For now we rent classrooms in different Community Centers to conduct our classes, but we are actively looking for setting up our own place. We chose the name "French Toast" because we want our Toasties (students) to understand that our teaching is :

- Not only serious, professional & efficient.
- But also fun !

And that we are planning to get bigger and always offer more to our students.

Other important facts about French Toast :
- Our teaching method is modern and dynamic, integrating contemporary culture.
- Courses are available all year round.
- We teach all levels, from complete beginners to advanced learners.
- We have students from all walks of life : university students to professionals and executives.
- Our current student pool has 14 different nationalities!
- We promote a convivial French atmosphere.

OUR TEACHING METHOD IN DETAIL
At French Toast, we follow the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) for learning, teaching and assessing French as a foreign language, and we place our students in groups based on the levels defined by this framework. While taking into account the language needs and learning strategies of each student, we also respect the specific requirements of the different organisations we work with.

Our main aim is to recreate real-life situations where you will be able to put your French to practical use and develop your learning strategies, enabling you to use the communication skills you already have in your native language when speaking French.

Our ultimate goal is to help you reach a level of fluency where you will be able to communicate efficiently and effectively in French. To achieve this you will need both a strong command of the language and an in-depth understanding of French culture.

Oral communication is a priority: learning to listen, understand, speak and express yourself naturally and appropriately, with fluency and correct pronunciation and intonation.

At French Toast you will practice all four language skills in an authentic communicative environment.

- Listening : using authentic audio-visual material, such as extracts from movies, TV and radio programs and songs.
- Speaking : in a conversation and speaking fluently, through role-play, debates, excursions, drama (improvisation exercises, which will give you more confidence, and work on pronunciation, use of gesture and fluency).
- Reading : analysing authentic written texts, such as newspaper and magazine articles, professional documents, administrative forms, literature, brochures and leaflets.
- Writing : a range of writing activities aimed at achieving communicative goals and improving your knowledge of the language.
At French Toast, grammar is taught through language games, simulations, interactive activities, and a communicative exercises.
